Reviews, reputation, and how AI weighs them
Stars still matter — but what's inside the reviews matters more for AI than for Google.
What AI reads
AI engines parse review text, not just star counts. They look for recurring phrases ("best brunch in town", "great for kids", "reliable plumber") and use those to match your business to specific queries.
How to shape it
Ask happy customers to mention what they came in for. "We came for the date-night cocktails" is far more useful than "Great place!" Train your team to suggest specifics in their post-visit follow-ups.
Respond like a human
Owner responses are crawled. A thoughtful, specific response to a 4-star review tells AI you're attentive — and the response itself becomes quotable content.
